 The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the team to handle the following responsibilities:

* Manage journal entries and reconcile accounts, including bank statements, for monthly and annual closings
* Manage inventory levels, depletions, obsolete inventory
* Prepare periodic financial reports, budgets, forecasts and job tracking reports
* Work with 3rd party CPA, providing information necessary to complete tax filings
* Handle tax compliance payments, including monthly filing of state sales tax returns and quarterly filings
* Oversee audits for insurance, unions and state sales tax
* Prepare weekly payroll for union and non-union employees, including the timely submission of monthly union reports
* Maintain federal, state, and local registrations and licenses
* Administer annual 401K reporting and medical/health insurance renewals
* Manage insurance renewals, bonding, OCIP and certified payroll reporting

The Accounting Manager leads and manages the company's accounting functions, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, general ledger and payroll. This is a player-coach role that is head of the accounting function, and also responsible for building, mentoring and leading the accounting team.

 

Required Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in accounting

* Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, at least  5 years in management roles

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, multitasking skills

* Effective team player, positive attitude, organized and strong work ethic

* Proficiency working with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and accounting software 


Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains) software experience a plus


Working in the office 5 days a week.
